About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Calgary Hijabs & Clothing Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Payments: Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide assistance with finding products and resolving issues.
  • Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure the sales floor and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, and well-organized, and report any maintenance or repair issues to management.
  • Work with Team Members: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, provide support during peak periods, and maintain a positive and respectful team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, team player, reliability, and ability to work in a dynamic retail environment.
