Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused administrative professional to join our team as an Accounts Receivable & Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing accounts receivable, and supporting our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with municipal contacts and provide main dispatch with commercial and subcontract drivers using 2-way radios.
- Perform daily data entry, including scale slips, route data, fuel logs, and bank deposits as required.
- Assist with accounts receivable data entry and AR collections.
- Handle customer inquiries with courteous and professional phone skills.
- Work closely with staff to ensure routes are completed and paperwork from drivers is correct.
- Assist with scale operator duties, including purchase and sale tickets in the scale system.
- Perform general office duties, including mailing invoices, statements, filing, and other duties as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or GED equivalency; job-related post-secondary education considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a related office/administrative role.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel) and excellent keyboarding skills.
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the waste management and recycling industry preferred.
- A friendly personality combined with a "roll-up your sleeves and get it done" attitude.
