Health Care Aide Opportunity

Pro Vita Care Management Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team in Nanaimo. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents in Long Term Care, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and oral hygiene.
  • Complete documentation for activities of daily living and report any changes to the resident's care plan.
  • Lift, transfer, and ambulate residents using proper equipment and technique.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures as directed by the on-duty nurse.
Requirements:
  • Provincial Registration with the BC Care Aide Registry.
  • Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Aide/Nursing program or completion of a recognized Dementia Care program.
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification.
  • Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.
  • English spoken and written.
