We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management Inc. in Nanaimo, BC.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in a long-term care setting. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:- Direct and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Complete documentation for daily living activities and report any changes to the resident's care plan.
- Lift, transfer, and ambulate residents using proper equipment and technique.
- Conduct pre-handling assessments prior to lifts, transfers, and ambulation.
- Perform and record routine nursing procedures as directed by the on-duty nurse.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Provincial Registration with the BC Care Aide Registry.
- Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Aide/Nursing program or completion of a recognized Dementia Care program.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification.
- Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.
- English spoken and written.
