Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist to perform functional low vision assessments, instruct clients in the use of prescribed low vision devices, and educate individuals about their eye condition and vision health. This role requires strong communication skills, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough functional low vision assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized plans
- Instruct clients in the effective use of optical and non-optical aids to maximize residual vision
- Educate individuals about their eye condition, vision health, and available resources
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless referrals and care coordination
- Deliver presentations and workshops on low vision services and related topics to community agencies and health care professionals
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as health care or vision science
- ACVREP certification or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and support
- Bilingualism in French and English (required)
We offer a competitive salary range of $42,005-$63,008, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
