About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ambiyan Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure that all team members are equipped to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect and taste dishes to ensure that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
    • Implement quality control measures to prevent errors and ensure consistency.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet demand.
    • Implement cost-saving measures to reduce waste and optimize inventory.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff follow proper food safety and handling procedures.
    • Implement health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
