Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Extendicare Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to residents, including assessing their needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating their progress.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Monitor residents' health status, report changes, and implement physicians' orders.
- Assist in assessing patients/residents and develop, implement, review, and evaluate care plans.
Requirements:
- Current certificate of competence from the Approved Institutions for the province.
- Registration or eligible for registration with the Approved Institutions for the province.
- Previous managerial experience in long-term care or community homecare preferred.
- Experience dealing with the cognitively impaired.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, as well as knowledge in Infection Control Practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
- Ability to present information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
