Laboratory Specialist

The Medical Laboratory Technologist plays a pivotal role in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This position demands technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to execute analytical tests and procedures with precision and quality assurance. With minimal supervision, the Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory tests, operating computer-integrated instruments, and utilizing information systems to compare test results with established criteria and make informed decisions.
About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications:
• Must be a graduate from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technologist
• Must be licensed with NSCMLT or eligible
• Registration with CSMLS
• Ability to work shiftwork (weekends and holidays as required)
• Willingness to travel when required
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
This is a full-time position with a long assignment, offering 75 hours bi-weekly. The start date is approximate and subject to change.
Compensation and Incentives
The hourly rate for this position is $30.83 - $37.54. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
