Job Summary

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman/Forewoman to join our team. As a key member of our underground utilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of underground construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and sub-contractors to ensure the successful completion of underground utilities projects.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Develop and implement safety plans to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Equipment Operations: Supervise and coordinate the operation of heavy equipment, including excavating and backfilling execution plans.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and participate in weekly safety meetings, toolbox meetings, and supervise workers to promote a culture of safety and productivity.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all quality documents are signed off and that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in equipment operations and a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Certifications: A heavy equipment operator certificate or equivalent, CSTS-09(or 2020), and SCOT are required.
  • Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
  • Skills: Proficient English language skills, ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions, and experience in road construction, civil, earthworks, and/or water and sewer.
