URD Foreman

Job Summary:
The URD Foreman is responsible for supervising a crew of construction workers on a shallow utility construction site. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in the shallow utility construction industry, with a strong background in underground residential development (URD) construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of construction crew members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of site activities, including timesheets, incident reports, and safety inspections.
- Communicate effectively with crew members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure all crew members are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards on the site.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years' experience in shallow utility construction industry.
- URD (Underground Residential Development) experience, required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate.
- Valid Ground Disturbance Certificate.
- Ability to navigate/complete app-based programs for safety and production paperwork.
- Strong ability to read construction prints.
Working Conditions:
The URD Foreman will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with crew members and other stakeholders.
