We are seeking a highly skilled Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. Working in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments for mental health and/or substance use, providing individual and group counseling, and developing treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of addiction medicine and experience working with concurrent addictions in an emergency department. You will also have the ability to work with chemical dependence and concurrent psychiatric disorders, including Borderline Personality Disorder, Axis II, Psychosis, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments for mental health and/or substance use, problem gambling, and other related areas to guide treatment planning

• Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-informed practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Stage-Matched Intervention, Trauma-Informed approaches, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and DBT-informed approaches

• Offer individual and/or group support to family members

Requirements:

• Valid registration with the relevant college/governing body in Ontario, such as the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO), or in pursuit of relevant credential, is mandatory

• Certification in Addiction Counseling (ICADC) preferred

• Membership with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF) preferred

• GAINS Q3 certification would be an asset
