Job Title: HR Student, Indigenous Student Program

This role is part of the Indigenous Student Program, which provides valuable experiences for your healthcare career and receives support. You'll learn about First Nations healthcare, access professional development, and have regular check-ins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with FNHA departments and the region to advance team objectives.
  • Participate in the development and execution of recruitment and talent acquisition plans.
  • Provide support for the recruitment process and assist with employee onboarding.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HR activities and processes.
  • Contribute to initiatives focused on enhancing employee engagement.

Requirements:

  • Indigenous background (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis)
  • Reside in British Columbia during the program
  • Recent high school graduate, current post-secondary student, or recent post-secondary graduate, including co-op or practicum students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in recruitment, new employee onboarding, employee relations, customer service, and research
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Science, or related fields
  • Strong interest in HR and a willingness to learn and contribute to HR functions
