About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our Heritage Division team at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory, market segment, and supplier brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate Customer Relationships: Make regular sales calls to on-premise customers to build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction with our service.
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Analyze, plan, establish, and maintain an efficient and productive daily call pattern in assigned territory to achieve assigned monthly quotas and placement objectives.
  • Identify and Pursue Sales Opportunities: Analyze the total territory and each account to determine priority selling and promotional opportunities, and implement effective sales strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Manage Sales Records and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date, accurate records of sales, competitive activity, and payment performances of all accounts in assigned territory.
  • Stay Informed and Adaptable: Recognize major trends and directions, describe major trends associated with a specific type of market, and discuss the organization's position and plans for key product trends.
  • Ensure Accurate Order Capture: Ensure order information is captured accurately, work with our sales system, and conduct day-to-day sales order entry.
  • Participate in Sales Projects and Activities: Participate in sales projects, account evaluations, proposals, presentations, and other sales-related activities to drive business growth and development.
  • Stay Educated and Informed: Participate in sales meetings, on-site training, and winery/distillery tours to remain educated in company policy and industry trends/developments.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Ability to maintain a valid and current driver's license; working knowledge and proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite and experience with Customer Relation Management (CRM) systems.
  • Goal-Oriented and Entrepreneurial Spirit: Goal-oriented focused, and assertive individual who needs a little direction or supervision; thrive on creating and selling innovative ideas and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit and type/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device for a considerable amount of time; physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping; may require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs.
