Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean and organized work area throughout and at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality.
  • Arrive to work on time and with all necessary tools to perform tasks.
  • Responsible for start-up, picking up formulas, and reviewing mixing schedules.
  • Scale ingredients accurately according to current and up-to-date formulas.
  • Assist with the loading of ingredients into the mixer.
  • Ensure batters are finished in a timely manner, preventing downtime between batches.
  • Document all ingredients used throughout the shift.
  • Document lot numbers of all ingredients used.
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and cleanliness of ingredient bins.
  • Ensure scaling and mixing areas are neat and clean.
  • Prescale areas to be cleaned thoroughly on a weekly basis.
  • Work closely with mixers and leadhands.
  • Inform leadhands and supervisors of any quality issues immediately.
  • Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in the SOP manual.
  • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Ensure GMPs and safe food handling practices are being followed.
  • Must be available to assist in other positions/departments as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completed (minimum) Grade 12 education or equivalent, with basic math skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy to keep up with the production process.
  • Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process.
  • Trained on the operation of electric pump trucks.
  • GMP and safety awareness.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
