Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the needs of our guests.
  • Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Management: Lead and motivate our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies and equipment as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
