Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Specialist to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our Information Security Program, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our IT-Security posture.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and respond to security events, incidents, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Develop and implement security solutions to prevent future occurrences and enforce security policies.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, Database, and Network support teams to implement security technical best practices.
- Assess and communicate security risks associated with company practices and purchases.
- Maintain the Information Security Risk Register and facilitate quarterly reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide operational support for the Identity and Access Management program, including the Identity Provider service and Privileged Access Management service.
- College Diploma in a related field of expertise, plus 5-10 years of experience in IT-Security specific roles.
- CISSP certification considered a strong asset, with other Security industry technical certifications also helpful.
- Proficient understanding of core Microsoft technologies, such as Active Directory and MS Exchange.
- Excellent understanding of project management principles and ability to apply IT in solving security problems.
