We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Specialist to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our Information Security Program, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our IT-Security posture.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and respond to security events, incidents, and unauthorized access to BGIS information assets.
- Develop and implement solutions to prevent future security breaches and improve our security posture.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, Database, and Network support teams to implement and enforce security technical best practices.
- Assess and communicate security risks associated with company purchases and practices.
- Maintain the Information Security Risk Register and facilitate quarterly reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide operational support for the Identity and Access Management program, including the Identity Provider service, Privileged Access Management service, and quarterly attestation reporting.
- College Diploma in a related field of expertise, plus 5-10 years of experience in IT-Security specific roles, with at least 1-2 years of IT foundational experience.
- CISSP certification is considered a strong asset, with other Security industry technical certifications (CEH, GIAC, Security+, OSCP) also helpful.
- Proficient understanding of core Microsoft technologies, such as Active Directory and MS Exchange.
- Comfortable and adaptable to taking on various roles, both technically and operationally.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude in compromise kill-chain cycles and ability to think like a malicious actor.
- Excellent understanding of project management principles.
