Job Title: Supervisor, Truck Drivers

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Truck Drivers to join our team at 2219019 Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Supervisor, Truck Drivers will be responsible for supervising a team of truck drivers and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation fleet. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of truck drivers and ensure they are meeting their performance targets.
  • Monitor and control the movement of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and that all drivers are trained and equipped to perform their duties safely.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Coordinate repairs and rentals of vehicles and equipment.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 35 to 40 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
