Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Combined Lab & Radiology Technologist to join the Clinical Laboratory team at Bella Coola General Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine technological duties, maintaining standards, quality control, and ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood analysis, urinalysis, and imaging studies
- Maintain and operate complex laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and spectrophotometers
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and techniques
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist/Technician Program
- Experience or program-based instruction in transfusion medicine
- Eligibility for membership with the British Columbia Society of Laboratory Science, the Canadian Society of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists, and/or other recognized professional organizations
