Job Description:

In this key role, you will oversee the operation of a state-of-the-art healthcare command centre. Your responsibilities will include orienting guards to their roles, assisting in tracking and deploying security staff, monitoring and operating various command centre systems, making emergency announcements, collaborating with the Security Coordinator on special projects, assisting in training new staff, answering telephones, and handling dispatch duties including incident call taking.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Courteous and cooperative service skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
  • Clear communication skills with clinical staff and the general public while conveying professionalism and authority
  • Able to maintain a professional composure under pressure situations
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written)
  • Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services (Preferred)
  • Proof of double Covid Vaccination
  • Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification
  • Valid G class Driver License
