We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our team at Arlyn Recruiting. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar law firm environment, with a focus on Business Law.
Job Summary:
The Corporate Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to lawyers and other staff members in the preparation and completion of corporate transactions, including formation and governance matters, due diligence reviews, and closing documents. The successful candidate will have strong technical and formatting skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience with legal applications such as Alf, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Workshare Compare, BC Online, DocuSign, and MyLTSA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain physical and digital company records books and client files.
- Prepare various forms and documents from precedents and templates.
- Update the ALF Corporate Records Database.
- Preparation of outgoing document packages/records books by courier.
- Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries by email.
- Communicate directly with clients as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Paralegal in a similar law firm environment, ideally with focused experience in Business Law.
- Securities and/or Real Estate Law experience is a definite asset.
- Completed an accredited Paralegal program.
- Strong technical and formatting skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Deep experience with legal applications including Alf, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Workshare Compare, BC Online, DocuSign, and MyLTSA.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a busy workload.
- Tactful with good judgment when handling confidential and sensitive matters or direct communications with clients.
- Strong team player, collaborative, strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working on group projects.
Salary Estimate: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
