About the Role

The Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Calgary is seeking a highly motivated Medical Oncology Clinical and Research Fellow to join our team.

Company Overview

We are part of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre/Arthur JE Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, where we conduct research in real-world outcomes cancer research and precision oncology.

Job Description

This full-time fellowship position will focus on clinical work in genitourinary cancers and involve undertaking real-world evidence projects using databases housed at the centre. You will also have the opportunity to be exposed to trial protocol development and possible involvement in late phase clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical work in genitourinary cancers
  • Undertake real-world evidence projects
  • Assist with trial protocol development
  • Possibly participate in late phase clinical trials

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a recognized medical degree, a valid Alberta medical practice permit, and completed clinical training in medical oncology (preferable within 5 years). Additionally, you should have clear research aims that you want to further develop with the resources available in Calgary.

Benefits

This fellowship position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per annum, plus Plan C Benefits. You will also have access to academic, teaching, research activities, and publications opportunities.
