  • Completion of a four-year degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional writing and editing experience for various platforms, preferably in a postsecondary education or public sector setting.
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality written content for diverse audiences and experience developing and supporting internal corporate communications.
  • A diverse portfolio of writing and editing samples showcasing a range of content types.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian Press (CP) Style and other editorial guidelines.
  • Knowledge of plain language principles that support readability and accessibility, as well as inclusive language practices that are both culturally sensitive and equity-focused.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and working under tight deadlines.
