Warehouse Operations Specialist

The Warehouse Person/Driver is a vital member of the Emmerson Packaging team, responsible for selecting, organizing, and processing material in the warehouse according to company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads trucks at Emmerson Packaging, utilizing a forklift, pallet jack, or manual labor
- Moves material between departments, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing delays
- Maintains stock areas at Emmerson Packaging, adhering to quality and safety standards
- Verifies packing slips and labels for accuracy, ensuring seamless shipping and receiving processes
- Retrieves and prepares material according to Shipping Release and job envelope information, meeting deadlines and customer expectations
- Receives and maintains bills of lading and packing slips for use in reports, providing valuable insights for business growth
- Coordinates arrangements with trucking companies for special pick-ups or deliveries, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and customers
- Performs minor preventive maintenance on forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring equipment is in good working condition
Requirements and Competencies:
- Secondary school (High School) diploma, or equivalent
- Forklift license, demonstrating a commitment to safety and efficiency
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs, enabling effective communication and data analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and customers
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring high-quality work and minimizing errors
- Strong time-management skills, ability to work well with deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Good reading and comprehension skills, enabling effective understanding of instructions and procedures
- Good mathematical skills, facilitating accurate calculations and data analysis
- Ability and willingness to work scheduled rotating shifts, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team
- Ability to lift items weighing 40 lbs and perform duties involving stretching motions, stair climbing, ladder climbing, and standing, ensuring physical ability and safety
