Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Sarnia, Ontario team at TWD Technologies.

Job Summary

The Intermediate Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various aspects of mechanical engineering, piping engineering, and design support. This will include participating as a member of dynamic project teams with a wide range of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, perform, and check calculations and designs using computer-aided and manual techniques.
  • Provide assistance to the Department Manager in schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement, and activities.
  • Organize and plan jobs, write and review specifications, and prepare and maintain schedules.
  • Develop and monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, and work with project, client, and field personnel.
  • Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for design performance.
  • Travel to ensure the successful execution of project and department goals.
  • Exhibit thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations and industry practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. in Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Piping and Static/Rotating equipment.
  • Experience with Plant 3D/Ceasar II.
  • Familiarity with design of distribution-related electrical systems is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles.
  • Able to conduct detailed calculations to ensure designs meet engineered standards and applicable codes.
  • Experience with multiple phases of projects including preliminary and detailed design, tendering, construction supervision, and commissioning is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
