Industrial Automation Systems Developer

We are seeking a skilled mechatronics engineer to join our team at Pow Engineering Group of Companies, located in Ingersoll, ON.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing and programming automated control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and electrical schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to read electrical schematics are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing control system architecture
- Programming PLCs using SCL, SFC, STL, C, C#, VBA, SQL, Ladder Logic, or other languages
- Creating electrical schematics in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other software
- Developing Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and ensuring seamless integration with real-time database applications
- Troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
- Supporting project proposals and estimation
- Preparing functional specifications and assisting with equipment selection and procurement
- Performing site commissioning and installation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or college equivalent
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical schematics
- Aptitude for programming and problem-solving
- Familiarity with IT/Networking and database applications is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes

Salary Range: $50,000-$80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Our company offers a competitive salary, as well as opportunities for growth and professional development.
Work Location: In person, with occasional travel up to 30% throughout the year, primarily within a 100km radius of our offices.
