We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Crop Development Specialist to join our team at Nortera, a leading producer of ready-to-cook vegetables in North America. As the agricultural industry leader in processing, packaging and distribution of canned and frozen vegetable products worldwide, we are committed to quality, safety and service excellence.

Job Summary

This role will work directly with our Agriculture department at one of our facilities (Ingersoll or Strathroy) primarily during the months of May through September. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Vegetable field scouting and monitoring;
  • Field and pre-harvest assessments;
  • Assisting with statistical comparison of results, including data entry and the use of Agricultural Systems;
  • Identification and monitoring of weeds, insects and disease.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A G license and a clean driving abstract;
  • Enrollment in post-secondary education with an Agricultural direction;
  • The ability to travel for field scouting, depending on your base location.
