Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for championing the design, build, and development of assembly processes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and improvement of assembly processes for full perimeter frames, front and rear cradles, and rear twist axles.
  • Champion the prototype process to prove out the assembly process of listed products.
  • Develop and implement packaging methods for new and existing programs, including bin and dunnage selection or modification.
  • Update current and prepare plant layout drawings with modifications to existing lines and installations of new lines and processes.
  • Track E-coat system capacity and propose changes to increase throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that improve production efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and maintenance-related issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of process documentation and customer-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience within an automotive or related manufacturing industry.
  • Engineering degree or diploma in manufacturing engineering, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Practical experience in costing and quoting.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience with CAD (preferably AutoCAD).
  • Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
