The Alberta Medical Association is seeking a seasoned expert to lead its Accelerating Change Transformation Team (ACTT). As a key member of the ACTT Directors and Executive Vice President, Health System Transformation leadership team, you will play a vital role in executing the team's mandate in alignment with AMA's vision and mission.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide operational leadership of business units and/or key projects within ACTT. This includes:

  • Leading and supporting high-performing teams;
  • Working closely with directors and other leaders to translate strategy into actionable plans;
  • Managing resources and outcomes of business units, including reporting and documentation of goals and progress;
  • Planning, organizing, and facilitating the work of provincial multi-stakeholder committees and working groups;
  • Liaising and building rapport with key leaders and stakeholders to support AMA-ACTT initiatives;
  • Building capacity to support the ongoing development and expansion of networks of practice.

In this role, you will thrive in a matrix environment, navigating different portfolios and initiatives while focusing on clear deliverables to implement AMA-ACTT initiatives. Your expertise in change management delivery in healthcare, project management, and people leadership will drive success.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • An undergraduate degree in health care, health sciences, business, or a related area;
  • At least 10 years of experience working with physicians and healthcare teams, preferably in primary care and/or specialty care environments;
  • People leadership experience, including performance development/management, team building, and task planning/delegation;
  • Experience in change management delivery in healthcare;
  • Project management skills, with PMP designation being an asset.
