Job Summary
Carewest Innovative Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional - Patient Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our residents at Signal Pointe, Complex Continuing Care facility.

About the Role
This is a regular part-time position with 59.42 hours per week. As a Health Care Aide, you will work under the supervision of the Client Service Manager and be an integral member of our interprofessional healthcare team. Your primary responsibility will be to observe, monitor, and report on client status and condition, including changes in physical and emotional status. You will also ensure that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed medications accurately according to policy and procedure
- Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times in keeping with Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies
- Provide ongoing client care and support to residents at Signal Pointe facility
- Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to achieve optimal client outcomes

Requirements
- Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required
- Must be physically capable of managing frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
- Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required
- Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset
