We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Liquor Nerds.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management, with experience in calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, fixed assets, and depreciation. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, posting journal entries, and preparing other statistical, financial, and accounting reports. Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (estimated based on industry standards).
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and benefits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare tax returns and other required reports.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, as well as 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping and financial management. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
Working ConditionsThis is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
