Job Title: Halfway House Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Halfway House Worker to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide a safe and supportive environment for residents, facilitating their transition back into the community. You will work closely with residents, staff, and community partners to ensure a comprehensive support system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to residents, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, working collaboratively with residents, staff, and community partners.
  • Facilitate life skills training, education, and employment support to promote residents' independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive necessary medical attention and referrals.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor residents' progress and adjust support plans as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and community events to stay informed and engaged.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Will train individuals with relevant experience.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
