Job DescriptionThis role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement special education techniques and methods tailored to individualized education plans for students with disabilities or learning difficulties.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and leading educational activities aimed at developing social, cognitive, psychomotor, communication, and other skills;
- Supporting students in their learning and autonomy development;
- Observing student situations and intervening as needed;
- Collaborating with teachers to create a conducive learning environment;
- Using adapted communication techniques and recording observations and interventions;
- Providing support to parents and teaching staff as required;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma of College Studies in Special Care Counselling or an equivalent recognized by the competent authority;
- A certificate attesting to completion of standard first aid courses and refresher training;
- Fluency in both French and English (oral and written);
