We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. As a Relief Part-Time Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing psychosocial support to clients and their families.

About the Role

This position is available until March 31, 2025 or Return of Incumbent. We offer a competitive compensation package, including four weeks of vacation to start, comprehensive health benefits, and a pension plan.

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our clients. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing clients' psychosocial needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to promote improved wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of clients to identify their strengths and challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address clients' psychosocial needs.
  • Provide education and consultation to clients and healthcare professionals on psychosocial aspects of illness and disease.
  • Maintain accurate client records and collaborate with community agencies to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
  • At least one year of recent experience in geriatric social work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Salary Range:

$42.27 - $52.81 per hour
