Job Title: Patient Safety Expert Lead
About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Patient Safety Expert Lead to join our team at Shared Health in Winnipeg. As a Patient Safety Expert Lead, you will play a crucial role in implementing patient safety programs and promoting a culture of quality and high-reliability across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement patient safety programs, ensuring consistent, high-quality patient care and effectively serving various service delivery organizations (SDO) through system safety reviews.
- Assist staff and physicians in understanding complex healthcare systems and collaborate to provide recommendations for healthcare system improvements.
- Review patient safety events within SDOs using various methods and approaches.
- Lead and participate in critical incident review committees (CIRC's) to enhance patient safety.
- Support clinicians in addressing health service delivery improvements to promote patient safety systemically.
- Participate in patient safety projects, initiatives, and activities to drive ongoing improvements in patient safety across SDOs.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in health service delivery, quality, and patient safety. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of progressive experience in health service delivery, including 2 years of relevant experience in quality and patient safety within the health services industry.
The successful candidate will possess a post-secondary degree in nursing, health sciences, or social sciences from an accredited institution and have a certificate in quality management or patient safety, which is an asset.
