About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Swift Connect INC. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Clean the bar area and wash glassware to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers.
    • Maintain the draft beer system to ensure optimal performance.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by serving food and snacks, advising on wine selection, and making drink recommendations.
    • Collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages and operate the cash register.
    • Record and balance beverage sales to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Inventory Management
    • Order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock to ensure we have the necessary supplies.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Certifications and Training
    • Hold a Bartender/Mixology Certification Course and other relevant certifications.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.

    • Excellent oral communication skills.

Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 30 to 40 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced, and you will be required to work under pressure. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
