Job Title: Site Supervisor

GeoSolv Design/Build Inc. is a leading geotechnical design-build ground improvement contractor in Ontario, providing turnkey solutions to soil problems. Job Summary

The Site Supervisor is responsible for on-site supervision, health and safety, and/or quality control of the construction project. Reporting to the General Superintendent, the Site Supervisor works closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site supervision and management of crews to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Manage the safe operation of crew members, including the supervision of preventative maintenance efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and report issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the flow and staging of work on-site with GeoSolv crews, subcontractors, general contractors, and other trades.
  • Review site conditions to ensure safe operation of equipment and provide basic layout as required using GPS.
  • Ensure GeoSolv's Health & Safety Policy is being adhered to and work closely with GeoSolv's Engineers to ensure quality standards are being met.
  • Provide on-site audit of built Geopier elements and quality control services, including testing.
  • Track and record progress of field work, including daily reporting.
  • Work within GeoSolv's Quality Management System and perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A College diploma/University degree in civil engineering.
  • Eligibility to gain certification in OACETT.
  • 3-5 years of Construction experience is an asset.
  • Heavy civil or geotechnical construction experience is an asset.
  • Experience or familiarity with design-build construction.
  • Experience with contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Work outdoors around heavy construction equipment in varying weather conditions.
  • Mechanical inclination is an asset.
  • Valid G driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel and work on sites in and around Ontario.
