Job Title: Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist
Location: Guelph, ON
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Pay Range: C$300 - C$370/ Day
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist to join our team at GTT, LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe systems, Unix, and Windows servers, as well as experience with network peripherals and monitoring tools.
Responsibilities:
- 24/7/365 Monitoring: Ensure the availability of critical systems by monitoring performance and taking prompt action to maintain SLAs.
- Incident Response: Respond to high-priority requests and incidents, participate in system recovery efforts, and provide operational updates and upgrades.
- Change Management: Implement change requests for mainframe, midrange, and network platforms, ensuring service level commitments are met.
- Documentation: Develop and deliver training communications and procedural documentation.
- Departmental Initiatives: Participate in shift left, Agile monitoring, Systrust audits, and disaster recovery exercises.
Requirements:
- Mainframe Experience: 5-8+ years of experience supporting large zOS mainframe systems.
- Server and Network Knowledge: 5-8+ years of experience with Unix, Wintel servers, and network peripherals.
- Incident and Change Management: Demonstrated experience in incident and change management, with strong documentation and communication skills.
- Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of system and application monitoring tools.
- Service Management Tools: Familiarity with eSMT, CIT, Remedy, and ITIL.
- Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and Power BI.
- Deliverable: Systems Deployment, Operations, and Management.
