We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Coordinator to join our team at Beedie. As an integral part of our HR department, you will be responsible for developing and growing your HR expertise while working closely with our HR team on various tasks and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather HRIS and ATS requirements, design system configurations, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Provide technical and functional assistance to end users on HRIS and ATS systems; offer support, set up user roles and permissions, troubleshoot issues, and respond to requests.
- Visit our worksites regularly to build strong relationships with managers and staff, particularly with the Construction Operations team and on-site construction staff.
- Support full-cycle recruitment processes, including interview coordination, job postings, reference checks, and candidate closures; develop strategies to streamline the recruitment process.
- Spearhead onboarding for new hires, creating schedules, logistics, orientations, and initiatives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local schools, colleges, and universities; serve as a liaison for outreach with industry organizations and attend career fairs to promote opportunities.
- Coordinate support across the training and development life cycle, including designing training, planning delivery, and maintaining learning materials.
- Administer awards applications (e.g., Great Place to Work, Canada Top 100).
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating training and development activities.
- Prepare internal HR documents, such as employment, promotion, and transfer letters.
- Advise and educate employees regarding company programs, benefits, and policies.
- Offer ad-hoc support to team members as needed.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A post-secondary education or diploma in Human Resources.
- Minimum 2-3 years of HR experience.
- Experience implementing and administering HRIS systems (UKG an asset) and ATS systems (Lever an asset).
- Strong computer skills with hands-on working knowledge of MS Office.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to travel throughout the lower mainland.
- Previous recruiting or related work experience is an asset.
- A solid understanding of employment legislation in Canada and Human Rights legislation.
- Experience in training & development program planning, logistics, and budgeting processes.
- The ability to prioritize and organize a high volume of work and competing priorities.
- Strong administration/organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

As an HR Coordinator at Beedie, you can expect a competitive salary range of $57,000 to $65,000 per year, based on desired experience level. Additionally, we recognize exceptional individual and team performance through our pay-for-performance bonus program. Our compensation package includes:
