Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Programs: Design and implement proactive and leading-edge health and safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy environment, including conducting inspections, risk assessments, internal audits of programs and practices, and incident investigations.
  • Administer Safety Training: Administer and deliver safety training, including Supervisor Safety Leadership training, FLHA use, new employee orientations, and creating computer-based training modules on various topics.
  • Manage Priorities and Liaise with Stakeholders: Manage multiple priorities, such as conducting indoor environmental quality, noise dosimetry assessments, and liaising with tenants and airlines on issues pertaining to indoor environmental quality.
  • Develop and Sustain Cooperative Working Relationships: Develop and sustain cooperative working relationships at all levels while overseeing the corporate Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Ergonomics, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods programs, as well as supporting the evolution of an Integrated Safety Strategy for the airport.
  • Monitor Safety Metrics and Data Analytics: Monitor organizational safety metrics, data analytics, and health and safety management technology tools.
  • Support Business Partners: Support the designated business partner(s) on meeting safety objectives, incident investigations, training, and more.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum Five Years of Experience: Minimum five years of recent, related progressive experience, supplemented by a post-secondary degree in health and safety or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Preferred Designations: Preference given to Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and/or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) designations.
  • Demonstrated Experience: Demonstrated experience in executing and operating successful health and safety programs and management systems.
  • Thorough Knowledge of Regulations: Thorough knowledge of federal and provincial regulations governing occupational health and safety.
  • Team Player: A team player, capable of working both collaboratively and independently, while ensuring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and confident leadership.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $86,640 to $124,545 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Eligible for an annual bonus target at 7.5% of your annual salary.
