Job Title: Restaurant Assistant Manager

Join the team at Wind Restaurant as a Restaurant Assistant Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and operational skills.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring the smooth running of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and motivate a team of 3-4 staff members to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
  • Cost products and services to ensure profitability.
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
  • Leading/instructing individuals.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Manage events.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
