Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Real Estate Finance to join our team at TAL Life LTD. As a key member of our Real Estate Financing team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the origination, screening, and management of real estate financing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Origination and Screening: Assist the Managing Director and Senior Director in identifying and evaluating new real estate financing opportunities, preparing credit committee submissions, and closing deals.
  • Portfolio Management: Contribute to the preparation of credit committee presentations, credit applications, internal memos, and commitment letters.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of existing real estate financing accounts, loan tracking, and financial monitoring, making recommendations as needed.
  • Market Research: Verify, analyze, and interpret data regarding new real estate financing opportunities to inform the Managing Director and Senior Director.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate transaction activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of the real estate environment through ongoing research and networking events.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional Designation: Professional designation (CFA, CPA, AACI, etc.) is an asset.
  • Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in real estate.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and relate them to the TAL Life LTD real estate business.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to liaise with legal counsel or other external stakeholders.
