Electrical Standards Project Manager

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Standards Project Manager to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Electrical Utility Standards team, you will play a critical role in facilitating the development of leading-edge standards solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate technical discussions and promote consensus amongst key stakeholders to develop standards solutions.
  • Manage project processes and schedules, resource requirements, costs, quality, and risk to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Convene in-person and virtual committee meetings to drive project progress and engagement.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners, including clients, management, legal, and finance, to develop proposals, contracts, and financial analyses for new projects.
  • Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures, and achieve project timelines within the defined budget.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in design/manufacturing in the electrical equipment or electrical utility sectors.
  • Technical understanding and experience working with the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, II, and III.
  • Experience writing proposals and business plans, and acquired knowledge of the standards' industry, government policy, regulatory environment, industry landscape, and funding programs/models.
  • Excellent people skills, including managing relationships, facilitating, and networking with people at all levels.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, including experience with delivering presentations and writing technical documents, proposals, and business plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingualism.
  • Technical degree or Technologist (BSc, B.Electrical or mechanical discipline).
