Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
The Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to emergency patients, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to prioritize and manage patient needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes, promote quality of life, and advance clinical competence.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in emergency nursing.
- Work collaboratively with the High Acuity Response Team to transport patients from lower acuity sites to our hospital, ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Contribute to the expansion of our Emergency Department, providing Level 1 Trauma Centre services and working towards a new public entrance, triage area, and single patient rooms.
About this Location/Unit:
The Royal Inland Hospital is a tertiary referral hospital, with an Emergency Department that sees a broad spectrum of patients in age and acuity. Our nursing staff work 12-hour shifts, and we treat 75,000 patients per year. Due to our geographical location and outdoor activities, we see a large amount of trauma. We have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and advancing clinical practice.
