Key Responsibilities- Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within your scope of practice.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor patients' ongoing care, order appropriate screening diagnostic investigations, and interpret reports to inform treatment decisions.
- Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about health findings, diagnoses, priorities, outcomes, and prognoses, and provide support and counseling as needed.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess and diagnose patient status, develop and implement treatment plans, and admit and discharge patients as necessary.
- Prescription and Medication Management: Prescribe medications within statutory and regulatory standards, limits, and conditions for Nurse Practitioners, and manage medication therapy plans.
- Leadership and Supervision: Assign work to other nursing and healthcare personnel, evaluate their work, provide education and supervision as needed, and participate in staff performance evaluations.
- Research and Quality Improvement: Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and nursing practice.
