About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Regional Director to join our team at BBYO. As a key member of our regional leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and inspire Jewish teens in the province of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives to engage and inspire Jewish teens in the province of British Columbia.
  • Mentor and support teen leaders and volunteer advisors to build strong, vibrant teen-led chapters across the region.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen BBYO's presence and impact in the region.
  • Develop and manage budgets, oversee program operations, and grow management skills.
  • Attend summer camp and BBYO global convenings to represent the region and contribute to the development of global strategies.
  • Empower and inspire teens and volunteer advisors through mentorship, coaching, and training.
  • Support the JCC Teen Lounge and other primary JCC teen activities to promote BBYO's mission and values.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a related field, such as teen/community programming, event operations, or non-profit management.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience working with youth or teens is preferred, as is experience leading teams or projects.
  • A valid driver's license is required, but ownership of a vehicle is not necessary.
  • Ability to travel as needed and attend summer leadership programs, international conventions, and other events.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, when teens are available.
What We Offer

BBYO offers a competitive salary range of $47,500 to $55,000, commensurate with experience. We also provide generous vacation time, sick time, and paid time off on secular and Jewish holidays.
