Job Description:

Earl's Restaurant (Yorkdale) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food service and ensuring seamless restaurant operations.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating staff in food preparation, sanitation, and safety, as well as training them on job duties and quality control standards. This includes establishing work schedules, estimating ingredient and supplies required, and preparing budget and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Establish effective work schedules and methods to meet operational needs.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, repairs, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer complaints or concerns, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving restaurant efficiency and profitability.


Work Environment:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, often standing for extended periods and walking around the restaurant. The ideal candidate should be able to work under pressure, multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical Capabilities:

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and move quickly around the restaurant. A strong attention to detail is essential, as is the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Personal Suitability:

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating efficient communication and teamwork abilities. A client-focused approach, flexibility, and initiative will also be essential in this role.
