Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner Advisor to join our team at Dexterra Group. As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to our client groups throughout Canada, ensuring that our employees are equipped to succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Employee Support
  1. Provide expert guidance to managers on handling employee and labor-related concerns, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  2. Offer support in collective bargaining and union contract management, maintaining strong relationships with employees and management.
  3. Ensure that Dexterra Group policies are clearly understood and followed, providing coaching and consultation to all levels of leadership.
  4. Act as an independent, impartial resource for staff and managers on Employee & Labour Relations issues, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  5. Participate in dispute mediation and collaborate with management on conflict resolution and appropriate actions, ensuring that all parties are heard and valued.
  6. Support employee terminations, assist with related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to analyze voluntary turnover reasons, identifying areas for improvement.
  7. Provide coaching and consultation to all levels of leadership on employee relations, labor relations, collective agreements, policy interpretation, talent management, and organizational design, driving business success.
Business Relationships and Stakeholder Management
  1. Build and maintain trusted relationships with leaders and employees across client groups, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  2. Establish credibility with employees and create positive, cooperative relationships at all leadership levels, driving engagement and motivation.
  3. Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring the highest level of support to all employees and stakeholders, meeting their needs and expectations.
  4. Focus on a customer-service mindset, providing guidance and training to field managers on HR practices, driving business results.
Policy, Process, and Project Support
  1. Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, communicating updates to management and employees, ensuring that they are informed and engaged.
  2. Work with the HR team to support projects and complete objectives, driving business success and growth.
  3. Identify process gaps and propose solutions to bridge deficiencies, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Assist internal departments, such as Payroll and other HR Business Partners, as needed, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
Metrics, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
  1. Collect metrics and generate reports to measure the success of HR initiatives and identify potential growth opportunities for the department and organization, driving business results.
  2. Stay informed on legislative updates and HR best practices, ensuring compliance and up-to-date knowledge, driving business success.
Other Responsibilities

Perform additional duties as assigned to support various HR functions, ensuring that the team is equipped to succeed.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  1. Fluency in both English and French, both verbal and written required, with proficiency in Quebec French (Québécois French).
  2. Excellent knowledge of provincial and federal employment and labour legislation with an emphasis on Quebec.
  3. Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working as an HR Generalist/Business Partner.
  4. CHRP designation considered an asset.
  5. Must have labour relations experience dealing with multiple unions.
  6. Experience with ATS (Smart Recruiters) and ADP is strongly preferred.
