Position: Vehicle Safety Analysis Engineer
Location: Windsor, Ontario

Overview:
The Vehicle Safety Analysis Engineer role at Onward Technologies Inc. focuses on the development and evaluation of comprehensive vehicle crash models. This position involves utilizing advanced software tools to conduct detailed analyses aimed at enhancing vehicle safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop full vehicle crash finite element models using ANSA.
- Perform detailed assessments with LS-DYNA software to evaluate vehicle crashworthiness in accordance with industry regulations and third-party standards.
- Analyze simulation results to propose design modifications that ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Communicate findings and present analytical results to various engineering teams.
- Oversee computer-aided engineering activities related to vehicle programs and manage the execution of durability analysis tasks.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in CAE durability analysis within the automotive sector.
  • Solid understanding of mechanics, durability, fatigue, vibration, and dynamics.
  • Proficient in CAE software tools such as ABAQUS, FEMFAT, nCode, ANSA, Hypermesh, and Optistruct.
  • Strong grasp of computer simulations, numerical methods, and finite element analysis (FEA) principles.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in ABAQUS and fatigue analysis software.
  • Good understanding of structural dynamics.

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel, both domestically and internationally, may be required, up to 20% of the time.
