Job Summary

The Clinical Director of Practice is a senior leadership role at Thrive Group Canada, responsible for overseeing and ensuring clinical excellence across all our organizations. This includes Idlewyld Manor, St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke, AbleLiving Services, and Capability Support Services.

About the Role

This position provides strategic direction and leadership to both Medical Doctors and Nurse Practitioners across these organizations, ensuring that clinical programs, policies, education, and innovation are aligned and delivered at the highest standards. The Senior Director is also responsible for developing and growing a robust community of practice for Nurse Practitioners, contributing to research, innovation, and the Centre of Excellence in Healthcare Innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide leadership and direction to Medical Doctors and Nurse Practitioners across the organization.
  • To ensure clinical programs, policies, education, and innovation are aligned and delivered at the highest standards.
  • To develop and grow a robust community of practice for Nurse Practitioners.
  • To contribute to research, innovation, and the Centre of Excellence in Healthcare Innovation.
  • To lead by example and foster effective teamwork among staff.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Extended Class).
  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a senior clinical leadership role, with experience overseeing MDs and NPs in a multi-disciplinary and multi-site healthcare organization.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading and developing clinical programs, policies, research initiatives, and education programs.
  • Familiarity with the Ontario healthcare system, long-term care legislation, and community healthcare settings.

Compensation Package

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $170,000 annually, depending on experience, plus benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous pension plan.
